Ex-president of the confederation of African Football, Ahmad Ahmad, on Tuesday afternoon was involved in a car accident in his home country Madagascar.
He assumed the position of CAF presidency in March 2017 after he defeated incumbent president Issa Hayatou by garnering 34 out of 54 votes.
His tenure was characterized by numerous crisis and was handed a five-year ban by World Soccer governing body (FIFA) in November 2020.
According to the report, he was in company of Madagascar Minister of health Tehindrazanarivelo Alain and their car slim into cliff before turning and falling into a ditch.
The reports suggest that no injuries was recorded and all the on board people were all fine.
