Businesses, Offices to open from 9.00a.m. to 6.00p.m.
After four weeks of total lockdown of Lagos, Ogun states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night relaxed the lockdown imposed on the two
states and the FCT which he said will take effect on Saturday from 9.00 a.m.
The president also have directives by imposing 8.00 p.m. to 6.00 am
curfew in those places, while also saying that selected businesses
and offices can open from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
The president disclosed this in a nationwide broadcast on Monday
night, adding that the situation in Kano State required total lockdown.
According to the President: “Based on the above and in line with the
recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, the various Federal Government committees that have reviewed socio economic matters and the Nigeria Governors Forum, I have
approved for a phased and gradual easing of lockdown measures in
FCT, Lagos and Ogun states effective from Saturday, 2nd May, 2020
at 9.00 a.m.”
