Davido files a lawsuit against Sophia Momodu seeking custody of Imade.

David Adeleke, an award-winning singer, has filed an application in the Lagos State High Court for custody of his first kid, Imade, from Sophia Momodu. Olaniyi Arije filed a motion seeking joint custody and unfettered access to Imade.

 

Sophia Momodu, the lone respondent in the lawsuit, described his relationship with Davido, which resulted in the birth of their kid in 2015. Davido claimed to have paid all of his daughter’s school expenses, guaranteeing her the greatest education possible and meeting her needs.

 

The musician bought a N200 million apartment in Victoria Island, Lagos, for his daughter Imade. The mother declined the offer, seeking N5,000,000 per year for the rental facility as her contribution to her daughter’s accommodation. The singer said that the offer was turned down.

 

Davido further stated that he purchased a Range Rover Sport Utility Vehicle for Imade’s child and the respondent’s mobility needs. However, Imade expressed concerns about the vehicle’s condition and refused to inform him. Davido also gave another vehicle, a Highlander SUV, as well as N5.8 million for repair, putting the respondent and daughter in possession of two automobiles.

 

The artist Davido has promised to pay for their daughter’s living expenses, nanny fees, health insurance, and travel. Momodu is still demanding extreme measures, nevertheless, such as paying the nanny $19,600 in one single payment each year and $800 every month.

 

Davido and Sophia shared on Instagram Story that their daughter, Imade, adopted Davido’s surname, resulting in unnecessary cruelty. Momodu commented on a post about children who share their moms’ names.

 

Momodu, her daughter’s surname, was not to bear her complete name, eliciting a bitter emotional reaction from her mother and aunts. She argued that Imade should be named after her father to inherit his genealogy and inheritance.
