China donates 200,000 COVID-19 vaccines to Algeria

Chinese Ambassador to Algeria, Li Lianhe, said that China has donated 200,000 COVID-19 vaccines to Algeria.

Li stated further in a post on the Chinese embassy’s official Facebook page that Algeria and China had supported each other since the outbreak of the pandemic which “illustrates a model of solidarity and unity to fight against the pandemic for the international community.”

“China, as a close friend and dear brother of Algeria, is ready to continue providing support and assistance to Algeria”.

“China is due to provide Algeria with all facilities to acquire the Chinese vaccine, which will help Algeria overcome the pandemic and restore its economic and social life to normal as soon as possible”, he added.

Algeria was among the first countries that sent medical help to China when the pandemic began and since Algeria’s outbreak, China sent medical staffs and donated a large number of medical supplies to help the country curb the pandemic.
